Entries close 12th July. Pre-paid entries of £3 or over entitle the exhibitor to one FREE admission ticket Exhibits to be staged no later than 10am and to remain until 4.30pm when Prize Money will be paid. Judge: Miss S Hinchliffe of Bondgate Bakery Entry Fee: 50p Prize Money: 1st £2; 2nd £1.50; 3rd £1 Class P9 - 4 Lemon Curd Tarts P10 - A Ground Rice Tart P11 - Gingerbread P12 - Wholemeal Loaf P13 - White Loaf P14 - “An Event” Decoration Cake (only decoration to be judged) P15 - Victoria Sandwich ( 2 cakes with raspberry jam filling ) P16 - 4 Biscuits - any one recipe P17 - 4 Pieces of Flapjack P18 - 4 Scones - 2 cheese & 2 plain P19 - Quiche ( 18cm approximately ) P20 - Chocolate Cake - undecorated P21 - A Round of Shortbread ( 20cm maximum) P22 - Apple Pie (Shortcrust top & bottom) PRESERVES Class P23 - Jar of marmalade P24 - Jar of Strawberry Jam P25 - Jar of Lemon Curd P26 - Jar of Chutney, Pickle or Relish (labelled with flavour, in a screw top jar) A SILVER CHALLENGE ROSE BOWL - Kindly donated by the late Mrs. Holmes Whiteley To be awarded to the exhibitor gaining most points in Classes P1 - P26. To be held for one year. Only one entry per class to count for points. Points: 1st 3 points; 2nd 2 points; 3rd 1 point. JUNIOR SECTION (Children under 15 years of age on Show Day).
