HORTICULTURAL CLASSES

Entries in the horticultural section WILL be taken on the day before 9 am. (No surcharge)
Exhibits must be benched by 10.00am, remain on display until 4.30pm and be cleared betweeen 5.00 and 6.00pm. The Show Tent will be closed to the public at 4.30pm and only exhibitors will be allowed in after that time for the purpose of clearing exhibits and collecting prize money, which will be paid in the Show Tent from 4.30pm. Each exhibit must bear an entry card. The Exhibitor is solely responsible for this before the tent is closed for judging.

Displayed produce will be judged on freshness, appearance and overall quality. The judge reserves the right to withhold placing certificates where it is felt that the quality of produce submitted does not reach the required standard

FLORAL SECTION - OPEN
Class
H1 - Vase of Dahlias
H2 - Vase of Mixed Flowers, at least 3 kinds
H3 - One Pot Plant. Pot not to exceed 20cm inside rim. In flower
H4 - One Pot Geranium or Regal Pelargonium. Pot not to exceed 15cm inside rim
H5 - Vase of Sweet Peas, nine spikes, any varieties
H6 - One Rose, any variety, own foliage only
H7 - Three Roses, any variety or varieties, own foliage only
H8 - One Bush Fuchsia in flower
H9 - One cactus or succulent plant

Only one entry per class to be eligible for points.

DECORATIVE SECTION
Entries close 12th July.
Pre-paid entries of £3 or over entitle the exhibitor to one FREE admission ticket.
The exhibits in the Decorative Section section need not necessarily have been grown by the Exhibitor.
Exhibitors wishing to use drapes must provide their own support. No artificial plant material is allowed. The space available for each exhibit will be 2’ 6” unless otherwise stated.
Exhibits must be arranged by the Exhibitor, in the Marquee, without assistance and before 10 am. They are to remain on display until 4.30pm when Prize Money will be paid in the Produce Tent.

or coloured pencil drawing Your favourite flower, fruit or vegetable growing in your garden. Why is it your favourite?
HJ7 - Age 7, 8 or 9 on Show Day - A story leading on from, “The entrance to the maze was.......”
