HORSES: WORKING HUNTER CLASSES
Commencing at 9.00am and continuing in Class No. order. (See Provisional Timetable inside back cover for guidance when making your entries) These classes will be run under SHBGB Rules. *Please Note: Current approved BS1 or European Standard hard hat/skull cap with navy or black cover must be worn during the jumping phase. Competitors to jump a course of 8 - 12 rustic fences to be judged 40% for jumping performance, 20% jumping style and presence, 40% ride and conformation. Manners and way of going to be taken into account. No change of tack or rider is allowed. On completion of the jumping phase all clear rounds and any others the judge may require will be asked to return to the ring for final judging. The judge may ride, but not jump the horse. Mare or Gelding, 4yrs or over, not exceeding 14.2hh Not to have won a 1st prize of £20 or a total of £50 in prize money in any working Hunter class or BSJA show jumping. Fences not to exceed 2’6” (approx 75cm) 602 - OPEN WORKING HUNTER PONY Entry Fee: £10 Prize Money: 1 st £15; 2nd £12; 3rd £10; 4th £8 Rider any age, Mare or Gelding, 4yrs or over, not exceeding 14.2hh Fences not to exceed 3’. 1st & 2nd placed combinations from this class qualify for the Open Ridden Pony Championship 603 - NOVICE WORKING HUNTER Entry Fee: £8 Prize Money: 1st £12; 2nd £10; 3rd £8; 4th £5 Mare or Gelding, 4yrs or over, exceeding 14.2hh. Not to have won a 1st prize of £20 or a total of £50 in prize money in any working Hunter class or BSJA show jumping or to have any BE points. Fences not to exceed 2’9” (approx 85cm) 604 - OPEN WORKING HUNTER Entry Fee: £10 Prize Money: 1st £15; 2nd £12; 3rd £10; 4th £8 Mare or Gelding, 4yrs or over, exceeding 14.2 hh. Grade A showjumpers & Grade 1 Event horses are not eligible to compete. Fences not to exceed 3’3” (approx 1 metre) 1st & 2nd placed combinations from this class qualify for the Open Ridden Horse Championship These Classes will be followed by Unaffiliated Show Jumping. |
